For those new to the series, I highly recommend that you do this as it teaches you how to play, but it does it in a fun and amusing way. You also have a tutorial which is great for showing you how to use some of the fun new weapons as well as giving you a better understanding of how the game works.
If you really fancy yourself as a great player, you can take on the Deathmatch mode which pits you against wave after wave of Worm armies! These usually have some kind of predetermined game mode or health situation for you to deal with. You have a single-player campaign where you have to take on various missions. I really like how packed with game modes this is.
